Does Illamasqua Volume Mascara Love My Lashes? - Makeup and Beauty Blog
I'm so jealous of all the lucky New Yorkers who get to gloat Illamasqua'south official in-store Sephora launch at the new Times Foursquare flagship store today.
Wouldn't it be cool if we could all get together? We could meet in front of the Blushers and lipsticks and throw elbows at anybody who got in our way, LOL!

It'd be a full-on Illamasqua swatch-o-rama. 🙂
But I'd probably shy away from the company's Volume Mascara in Harness ($23) (a matte blackness). Truth be told, it hasn't made me desire to shoop as much every bit the other things I've tried from the line.
For now it's the only Illamasqua mascara available on Sephora.com, and Illamasqua describes information technology as a smudge-gratuitous, dramatic mascara to lengthen and thicken lashes.
Thicker, longer lashes
First, what I run into equally the good stuff: Volume Mascara does a pretty good job of thickening and lengthening my lashes. The colour is a deep, true blackness with a matte finish, and fifty-fifty a single coat creates an firsthand difference that'southward both noticeable and above average.
Does it inspire OMG!-filled texts to my BFF at 3 in the morning time? Possibly not, but information technology's still a pretty colour and markedly above average.
Flakey!
Its Achilles' heel… This stuff is flakier than a bowl of Special 1000. At two coats information technology leaves hella blackness bits of dried mascara everywhere; the flakes fall along my lower lash line and under my optics throughout the solar day — a significant amount of flaking that makes it a little annoying and 100% non cute.
And I'm also non crazy virtually how crispy and heavy it makes my lashes feel or how the formula doesn't hold a curl from my lash curler.

Use: A truthful black mascara that thickens and lengthens well but also flakes like crazy

I've really liked and then many of Illamasqua'southward color products so far that Harness wouldn't stop me from being among the first people in the door this morning time at Sephora in New York.

Hello, ladies! Despite the foggy gloom outside my window this AM, I'm in a good mood because information technology'southward Friday.
I'm going to power my way through a few hours of work and and so advantage myself with a prissy, long walk. Simply first, a quick snack — how almost some Rice Crispies, a yogurt (Yoplait lemon, yum) and cold, red grapes?
